Best known as the former member of the famous R&B/pop trio TLC, Rozonda Thomas rose to fame after being a part of the band in 1990. Rozonda, with her fellow members, Lisa Lopes, and Tionne Watkins were the reigning bands during the 90s. However, the band members separated after Lisa lost her life sadly in 2002. Even after the disbanding, Rozonda still remembers the good old days and misses the fun she had with her members.

Her mother Ava Thomas shares African-American as well as Native American descent, while her father Abdul Ali is of East Indian and Middle Eastern Background. Hence, Rozonda is of mixed ethnicity.
Rozonda met her father in 1996 when the producer of Sally Jessy Raphael Show tracked down her father, who was then an Atlantic City casino worker. LaFace Records signed a new trio called TLC, where Rozonda replaced one of the members. Her career skyrocketed after joining the trio with the stage name of Chilli. Some of her achievements as a band member include her album CrazySexyCool, and FanMail that were awarded Grammy Awards.

After separation of the band, Rozonda established herself as a television star in the show What Chilli Wants in 2010. She also worked as a producer of the biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story in 2013.

As of 2018, Rozonda opened up about her current relationship status to essence on 17 August 2018. She said that she is dating someone out of her race and also added that she wants to influence other black women to do so as well. She stated that God has made every woman equal and has not limited them to date only black men.
