Her Career As A Basketball Player
Rosalyn Gold-Onwude was interested in basketball since her childhood. During her days at Archbishop Molloy High School, she used to play basketball for the high school basketball team. She has also contributed to two state basketball titles wins for her team in 2003 and 2004, respectively.
Sadly, her high school career ended due to her knee injury. Nevertheless, she ended up being the all-time leader in steals and assists and the second all-time leading scorer for her team. In 2011, she was inducted into the GCHSAA Hall of Fame—the first Molloy athlete who got inducted.

After recovering from her injury, she started to play Division I Basketball for her university team. She used to play as a starting point guard in the 2005-06 season but again suffered from a knee injury in the 2006-07 season. Fortunately, in the 2007-08 season, she made her return as a shooting guard and participated in two national championship games and three Final Fours games.
For her contribution and skills, she was even named as the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year during her final year at Stanford University.
