Television actor Rex Linn was born on 13 November 1956 in Spearman, Texas. He is the third child and the second son of Darlene and James Paul Linn. Rex migrated to Oklahoma City with his family when was at the age of 13. He found his role model, Jack Nicholson when he reached the age of 19. Jack Nicholson played on the American Comedy-drama film, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest; his act inspired Rex to be an actor.
While Rex was studying at Casady School, an independent school affiliated with the Episcopal Church, he got a part-time job at the Oklahoma City Zoo. He soon graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1980 with a degree in Radio, Television, and Film.
