In her more than a decade long career, she has reached the heights of success contributing to various news agencies.
For her outstanding works, she was honored with EMMA Award for Best Weather Anchor in 2013.
Additionally, she also received EMMA Honorable Mention in 2013 for Best Forecast.
As of now, she is working with one of the renowned and reputed news channels, WUSA9, based in Washington, DC.
There, she is seen forecasting weather news each weekday from 4:30 am to 7 am.

As a native of New Orleans, Miri is a Saints fan. Named after the Star Trek character, she grew up in her hometown, New Orleans, with her family even though she has not revealed much about them.
As of her education, Miri graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Journalism.
She also studied Broadcast Meteorology at Mississippi State University and received a seal with the American Meteorological Society.

But Miri wanted to establish her career in meteorology and journalism. So, she joined KFox TV in El Paso, Texas where she served as a news and weather anchor from 2007 to 2011.
After that, she worked with KCEN in Waco, Texas, for a while, forecasting severe weather conditions and soon went to Baltimore to work for WBAL-TV11 in 2013.
Having worked there for four years, Miri joined WUSA 9’s weather team in September 2017.
