Michaela kick-started her career by hosting a program on Victoria, British Columbia’s CHEK-DT virtual station. She also made reports on weather, sports, and entertainment, becoming one of the most notable personalities. Michaela then co-hosted Internet Tonight on ZDTV after her show got canceled in 2001. It wasn't long before she became a regular host for TechLive. Later, she joined KTLA in Los Angeles after TechTV merged with G4. At KTLA, she hosted the Morning News, the number one rated morning newscast.
