Mike Khouw is an American author and veteran of the financial services industry. He has co-written a book titled “The Options Edge” along with his long-time colleague Mark W. Guthner—the book is a comprehensive guide to understand the value of options, optionality, volatility, and strategy for both retail and institutional investors.
He currently works as the President and Chief Strategist of Optimize Advisors, Managing Partner of Timeline Partners, LLC, Contributor for CNBC network, and Speaker of Wealth Advisers Forum for The Options Industry Council.
Besides that, he has wide experience of over 20 years as a strategist, portfolio manager, analyst, and proprietary trader of commodities, equities, and equity and index derivatives for both buy-side and sell-side firms.

Mike Khouw is a married man—his wife goes by the name Holly. Together, they are parents of two sons: Sam and Tom. Their elder son is 12 years old, and the younger one is ten years old, as of 2020.

The couple first met in the St. Louis street in 2004 when Mike was on a transcontinental motorcycle trip with his brother. After their first meeting, they liked each other, and the spark of their love was undeniable.

Mike Khouw was born on the 6th of September 1968 in the United States of America. His father was an orthodontist.
The veteran of the financial services, Mike Khouw, studied his primary and high school studies from The Well School and Portsmouth Abbey School respectively. Later, he went on to study his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University from 1988 to 1992. At Tufts University, he graduated in the major English with additional coursework in Economics, Finance, and Statistics.
In the past, Mike Khouw had been associated as a principal and managing director at CRT Capital and a partner at Cantor Fitzgerald. He had also worked in the senior trader positions at New York-based Proprietary Trading Firms like Bluefin Trading, LLC, and Gateway Partners.
