She lives in New York City. Timpf has appeared on numerous radio and television programs such as Fox and Friends, America live with Megan Kelly, Cavuto, Stossel, The Nightly show with Larry Wilmore, The Greg Gutfield Show, Red Eye and Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. She graduated in 2010 from Hillsdale College with a B.A. in English.

Since May 2015 Timpf has played a recurring, on-air role on The Greg Gutfeld Show which airs on Fox News Channel. She has appeared as a frequent guest on many other shows of Fox News.

Timpf also regularly provides political commentary expressing her libertarian and millennial views as they relate to feminism, economy, culture and political correctness.  In 2017 Timpf began co-hosting a show called The Fox News Specialists with Eboni Williams and Eric Bolling since 2017.

Timpf began her career by working as a video and print reporter for the Leadership Institute’s in Arlington, Virginia where she covered fraud, bias, waste, and abuse on colleges. Before that, she also worked as-as a producer and reporter for Total Traffic Network in  Santa Ana, California, a digital editor for The Washington Times and as the news anchor for NASA’s Third Rock Radio.

In 2012 Timpf received Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship Program grant awarded through The Fund for American Students.  There she completed a project titled, "As California Goes, So Goes the Nation: The Consequences of Following Golden State Policy."

Timpf has been a contributor to different publications such as The Washington Times, Investor’s Business Daily and Orange County Register. She is also a featured comedienne on the morning drive radio show on 98 Rock in Baltimore. Timpf has also been performing in stand-up comedy at venues across the country which includes The Improv in Los Angeles and in New York at Gotham Comedy Club. 

Timpf is also a reporter at National Review Online where she writes columns and satire pieces on various topics addressing government overreach and cultural over-sensitivity. She often uses sarcasm, humor, and satire in her writing. Her writing has been featured by numerous news organizations.

Timpf believes in limited government and calls herself a libertarian. In November 2015, Timpf's satirical remark about the Star Wars fandom on a 3AM political comedy showed Red Eye with Tom Shillue which made a month prior led to death threats against her.

She announced on March 1, 2016, that she had joined Barstool Sports. On March 20 of 2016, she started a weekly podcast which was called ‘The Kat Timpf Show.' In the show, she talks to a guest about random subjects, and reveal about their personal life.

She is a single woman and has not married, yet so there is no question of her having a husband.  There were the rumors about her dating a guy named Joel Pavelski, and he was her boyfriend.  She was also in a love relationship with a guy named Blake, but there is not much information about the couple in media.
