The journalism fraternity has been sharing a significant loss as one of the most respected journalists, Cokie Roberts, passed away at the age of 75.
On 17th September 2019, Cokie took her last breath, leaving behind a great legacy for the youngsters.
In a statement by her family, it was said that she was struggling with breast cancer, which she was first diagnosed with, in 2002.
Her death shook the social media as well, where her friends and well-wishers waved her final goodbye.

Cokie Roberts was born as Mary Martha Corinne Morrison Claiborne Roberts on 27th December 1943, in New Orleans, Lousiana.
Cokie was the third child and youngest daughter of her family. She got the name, "Cokie" from her brother Tommy who, as a child, could not pronounce her given name which was Corinne.

Her mother, Lindy Boggs, was an ambassador and long-time Democratic Congresswoman from Lousiana.
Speaking about her father, Hale Boggs, was also a Democratic Congressman from Louisiana. He was the Leader of House of Representatives and a member of Warren Commission.
Moreover, Cokie and her family members were numbed when Hale was lost on a plane that disappeared over Alaska on 16th October 1972.

Cokie Roberts got married to her husband, Steven V. Roberts, in 1966. Cokie and Steven had met in the summer of 1962 when she was 18 years of age, and he was just 19.
