Chelsea resides in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband. She is relishing her married life with her husband, and the two aren't in a hurry to build a family. They do have a Yorkipoo, named Doppler. For now, the couple is satisfied with taking the role of parents of their dog.

Her passion for Journalism from a young age led Chelsea to build a career in the broadcasting field. She worked as an operational meteorologist for the Vermont Department of Transportation during her college days. Her full-time job only started from 2010 at Raleigh’s network WTVD-TV, where she worked as a broadcast meteorologist.
Later, she continued her broadcasting career in Vermont as a meteorologist at WFFF/WVNY in Burlington before working with WJZ-TV in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2017, she left WJZ and became a part of CBS KYW-TV.
