Anita Padilla is an American reporter, an anchor who has won multiple Emmys for being one of the most reliable and trusted reporters in Chicago.
She started her career as a journalist in the news industry by working as an intern at WBBM-TV. She also worked at WFTV in Orlando, Florida. Anita won her first Emmy award in 1995 after the coverage of armed robbery and carjacking done by a murderer in Orlando. She joined Fox Broadcasting as a news reporter around 1995 but then left for WMAQ channel five in Chicago.
It didn't take long for Anita to earn her second Emmy award for covering the New Year Eve Millenium celebration piece which helped her reach the height of her career. She returned to Fox news in May 2007; she has been working for Anchor Good Day Chicago ever since.

Anta had a unique love life. After starting her career in the news industry, she met her now-husband, Tom who was a police officer, back in Florida around the ’90s. Tom was divorced man back then with a son, Ryan, from his first marriage. Tom became friends with Anita real quick and they both fell for each other’s charms. They eventually ended up getting married on 14 August 1996 in Matangi Island, Fiji.

Anita and Tom ended up welcoming their son Seth after their marriage. The couple is now living a joyous married life with their two sons Ryan and Seth.
