Janet Evan is an American swimmer and actress best known as a distance freestyle swimmer holding world record and several medals for world championships.
Janet held the 1500-meter freestyle record set in March 1988 until June 2007. She has attended the 1988 and 1992 Olympics in which she has won four gold medals collectively.
She participated in the 1996 Olympics, too, where she was seen handling the Olympic torch to the American boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
As an actress, she is credited for Saved by the Bell: The New Class and Marathon both played in 1993 and Celebrity Circus in 2008.

Janet is the youngest of the three children born to her father, Paul, and mother, Barbara. Her father worked as a veterinarian and her mother as a homemaker. She has two older brothers, David and John.

Janet’s parents, especially her mother, was always helping and supportive of her. From a young age of three, Janet started taking swimming classes. Since then, she has found her parents motivating and mentoring throughout her career.

Growing up in Placentia, Janet had developed herself as an international competitor at a teenage. While attending El Dorado High School or graduating from Stanford University, she was always participating and practicing swimming.
In the course of enhancing her career, she has also attended the University of Southern California from where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communications in 1994.

Janet Evans is happily married to Bill Willson on 10th April 2004. The couple has shared two children together. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, Sydney, in 2006. Three afters in 2009, they welcomed their son, Jake.

Eight months later, the couple tied the knot in a marriage ceremony held at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California. The wedding was traditional, attended by 210 guests.
