On the night of 8th December 2019, Sanna was chosen to lead the nation, after the Social Democratic party’s leader Antti Rinne decided to quit as prime minister.
Sanna, who has been serving the nation as a country’s transportation minister, lawmaker as well as Antti Rinne’s deputy prime minister, took vows for her new position by 10th December.
