Ruth Dudley Edwards is an Irish writer and a columnist for the Irish Sunday Independent.
Born on 24 May 1944, she was raised in Dublin, Ireland with her brother Owen Dudley Edwards, a historian. She was parented by an Irish historian professor, Robert Dudley Edwards (her father) and a teacher, Shelia Dudley Edwards (her mother).
