American Television personality, Mike Sorrentino is famously known as 'The Situation.'

Mike was born as Michael on 4 July 1982 in Staten Island, New York. He has an older brother named Frank Jr. Maximo Sorrentino, who came out as a gay in 2016 during the premiere episode of WE TV’s Marriage Boot Camp.
Mike, who belongs to Italian ethnicity, enrolled in the Brookdale Community College and later attended Kean University and Monmouth University.
He joined the Jersey Shore in December 2009 and featured in the show until its end in December 2012.
He also appeared in other talk shows like The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Conan, The Jay Leno Show and Lopez Tonight. He also competed in the Dancing With the Stars with Karina Smirnoff as his partner.

He got charged with tax evasion and filing a false tax return in Newark, New Jersey related to his fashion line Situation Nation.
He was also accused of dodging tax on a sum of $8.9 million, from 2010 to 2012. He was also charged with millions of dollars worth of fraud business expenses.
On 19 January 2018, Mike pleaded guilty to his crimes in New Jersey federal court. So, he was to face years of prison for his guilt now. His jail sentence hearing was scheduled for 7 September 2018.
Times exactly before his marriage with, Mike's jail sentence of eight months was announced. Thus, soon after his 1st November wedding with Lauren, Mike headed to complete his jail sentence.
