American actor Maurice Benard is known primarily for his portrayal of Michael Sonny Corinthos Jr. on ABC’s medical drama, General Hospital. Benard caressed his cinematic career debuting as Nico on the American soap opera, All My Children.

Back on 12 August 2017, Benard Instagrammed the picture of his wife and wished her a 27th marriage anniversary. He too added that he was grateful to go through his life holding her hand. 

Besides, the couple was spotted flaunting the love for their new babies via Instagram on 12 August 2018. In the picture posted by Maurice, he and his wife were holding two beautiful goats whom he referred to as their ‘new anniversary babies.’

Furthermore, on the same day, Benard, through his Insta post, stated that there were no words to describe what Paula has done for him in his life. The sweet caption was all that mattered the most on their 28th anniversary

Born in 1963, in Martinez, California, USA, Maurice Benard celebrates his birthday on 1 March every year. He was born to Martha, a bank employee, and Humberto Morales, a bakery superintendent. Maurice grew up in San Francisco, California with his family.

At the young age of 22, Benard was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, a mental disorder causing periods of depression and abnormal moods. Since then, Benard has been a famous voice in the battle against such traumatic disease.

Benard openly claimed his battle against the illness on social media. And at the same time, he began to work with the National Mental Health Association (NMHA) on the 'Bipolar Disorder: Do You Know It?' campaign.  

With his immense interest in acting, Bernard initiated his on-screen career playing as a Nico on the soap opera All My Children, from 1987 to 1990. Subsequently, Maurice guest-starred in many television shows during the early 1990s.
