He is best known for movies like The Ministers, Trainwreck, Overboard, A Bronx Life, and The Narrows.
His TV shows credits include various roles played in hits like The Electric Company, Sirens, Chicago P.D., The Other Two, Orange Is the New Black and The Moodys.

He is of Puerto Recan descent and is fluent in English and Spanish. His surname origins from Catalonia, Spain.
Josh was passionate about theatre acting from a very young age ignited mainly by performing the role of Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz produced by Orlando Youth Theatre.

In the early years of his age, he received praise for his voice while performing in his church. His solo performances in his middle school chorus also gained honors, which inspired him to continue his musical path.
In his high school, also he continued to play various roles in The Music Man, Footloose, Nick Pizza, and Fame: The Musical. During that time, his musical career reached its height, which opened the doors for him to perform as a lead singer of a Capella group that sang for the governor of Florida.
Josh also received numerous theatrical awards during that time, including Best Show in Duet Musical at the Florida Thespian State Competition.
From high school, he went to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts to pursue an education in the arts. There during his freshman year, he acted in the CBS movie, Vampire Bats and also sang beatboxed being the featured rapper for N’harmonics, a premiere of a Capella group.
In his sophomore year, he also performed in the Off-Broadway musical, Fools in Love. He graduated from university in 2008 with a degree in Theatre.

Josh Segarra is married to his longtime girlfriend, Bruce Rice. The couple is blessed with one child: a son named Gus Maine Segarra, born on 30th September 2016.

Recently the couple has announced that they are expecting their second baby in January 2020. He has shared several pregnant pictures of his wife.
As of their love story, the couple met for the first time at their friend, Jermaine’s birthday party, in early 2011. While attending the party, they sorted out that they shared the love of Magnolia’s banana pudding, college basketball, and Mexican food.

Soon Josh and Bruce became close and fell in love. Finally, Josh proposed to his girlfriend in the summer of 2014 at the castle in Central Park, New York City.
Soon after the engagement, the couple tied the knot on 17th October 2014 in a wedding ceremony organized at Carillon Beach Resort Village Green, located in Panama City, Florida.
