About his family, his parents got divorced when he was just five years old, leaving him and his sister, Rachel, with their mother, Deborah Ward.

After the divorce, his mother went back to the university to fulfill her dream of becoming a lawyer, but his grandparents, Christine and John Hodder, stepped in to look after him.
Sean is greatly influenced by his grandfather, who was a fireman. His family members also have a great role in helping him to achieve his dream.
He has frequently adored his mother for encouraging and supporting him in every step of life whenever he was in trouble.
He began chasing his passion for acting from a young age. When he was 12-year old, he asked his mother to take him for an audition of a child actor for a film called Cheeky, which was being held at Manchester Airport. He was chosen for the film.

The most frightening was during late 2018 when he suffered from depression, addictions to drugs, drink, and pornography due to slow progression in his career and being lonely.
