Television journalism has remained an attractive profession for many energetic people. Vladimir Duthiers also falls in this line. Yes, he is also an American television journalist working for CBS News.

Duthiers was born on December 21, 1969, and was brought up in New York. He has got mixed ethnicity because though he is an American citizen now; his roots go beyond America; as he is the son of the parents who were Haitian immigrants of French descent. Due to this reason, he is fluent in French and Haitian Creole.

Talking about his educational background, he took journalism as a major in the University of Rhode Island before switching his focus to political science. After this, he joined Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism for pursuing broadcast in journalism.  

 According to her wiki, in 1991, he began his work on Wall Street in the financial services industry. Her bio also reveals that in 1993, he joined the asset management firm called  AllianceBernstein where he was also promoted to Managing Director whose job would it be to be responsible for business development in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. Then in 2009, she became associated with CNN where he joined the organization first as an intern.

Later, he became a production assistant, working on Christiane Amanpour’s Amanpour and Anderson Cooper 360 degree. Similarly, in 2010, the day after the big, destructive earthquake in Haiti, he traveled to Haiti with his CNN team.

At that time, he worked as an interpreter and production assistant. For this coverage, the team won two Emmy Awards. He became successful to win a Peabody Award too for his notable work of covering the kidnapping of the Nigerian schoolgirls by the terrorist group called Boko Haram. Then in the August of 2014, he left CNN to join CBS News that is based in New York.

After having joined CBS, he has covered a wide range of stories. He covered for about a month about the protests which was started when a white police officer caught an unarmed African American man for questioning.

Regarding his personal matter, he is not married to anyone. So this has raised the suspicion among many that he might be a gay. However, there is news that he has a girlfriend named Marian Wang. When will he make her his wife and become each other’s life partner is a matter that can be only confirmed by the passage of time. Till then it seems that we have to wait and watch.
