Three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist Virginia Cha is a Korean-American news anchor for KGTV-TV, an ABC-affiliated TV station. Virginia previously served as an NBC News Correspondent based in New York.

Virginia Cha, who carries American-Korean ethnicity, celebrates her birthday 1 September every year. She belongs to the Korean family.

Growing up with Korean parents, Virginia was into Korean foods from her early age. Her mother was a great cook who made a lot of traditional Korean cuisine. Cha often tried to put her own spin on her mother’s recipe.     

Virginia received her graduation from Princeton University as a Fulbright scholar. Subsequently, she discovered her true self and worked hard to become a successful icon in the communication world.    

Cha initiated her media career serving as a reporter at WFSB in Hartford, Connecticut. Virginia handled the position of substitute anchor and later the head anchor/reporter of the morning news.

Later on, Virginia joined WBZ TV-4 in Boston, Massachusetts, and served as a news anchor and chief medical correspondent for the network. Meantime, Cha bagged three Emmy Awards for Outstanding Individual Achievement and a National Edward R. Murrow Award for Team Political Coverage which carried her media career into the new height.

Apart from that, Cha had her stints as an anchor on MSNBC, NBC, and CNN in the past.   

Currently, Virginia is associated with ABC-affiliated channel KGTV-TV in San Diego.

Despite flaunting her professional life as an open book, Virginia has kept her love life out of reach from the public for all these years. Moreover, she didn’t enjoy the company of others except her husband turned boyfriend, Edward.

Back in September 2013, in the episode of Joey Fatone’s cooking show, My Family Recipe Rocks, the veteran journalist, Virginia, made an appearance with the man of her dreams. In the crunching show, Ed and Virginia shared their favorite family recipes.

The married couple gratuitously welcomed Joey into their home and served him their family dishes. Edward started off by preparing a margarita with an Italian twist. Meanwhile, Virginia rolled back her mother’s recipe for Pajeon, a traditional pancake-like Korean cuisine.  

As of now, Virginia is sharing a blissful married life with her Italian husband. Besides, she receives continuous support from Ed to caress her already soothing professional career.
