June Sarpong is among the famous faces in British television. The TV presenter and producer, production designer, and actor has made a name for herself in almost every aspect of the entertainment industry.
She started on her career at Kiss 100 and then became a host for MTV in the UK and Ireland.
June, the panelist on Sky News’ weekly current affairs debate show The Pledge, has interviewed many prominent politicians and celebrities. Her significant works as an event host include the likes of Make Poverty History and Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday celebrations.

June Sarpong’s Early Life & Brother’s Death
June was born in Forest Gate, east London on 31 May 1977. However, she was raised in Accra, the part of the capital in Ghana. She inherits Ghanaian ethnicity from her parents.
Her parents and their three children lived in the best part of town, went to international schools for their education, had maids and European cars.
June’s father worked in finance for the Ghanaian government. They led a lavish life as a part of the elite. Unfortunately, that elite world came crumbling down, overnight in the military coup in 1984 and they had to return to London.

The family struggled, leaving their cushy life and starting from square one. As a result, the begetter of the family broke off their marriage when June was only 7.
The tragedy in the family didn’t stop there. Everyone was left devastated when June’s beloved elder brother- Sam Sarpong took his own life on 26 October 2015, at the age of 39.

Sam was carving a career as an actor and model and had appeared in more than 60 films. The school's basketball-star also became the face of the Tommy Hilfiger brand.
His death was unanticipated as he had nill history of depression and mental illness. The answer to why he headed for a bridge in Pasadena and ended everything, went along with him.
Today, still in agony of her brother's demise, June never lets go of the chance to speak about mindfulness and mental health whenever she gets an opportunity.
Is June Married To Husband / Partner?
June is not married to a husband, yet. Although, the panelist on Loose Women, had her shares of romantic flings and affairs in the past. The most talked and speculated one was with the British Labour Party politician, David Lammy.
The pair was considered one of Britain's most high-profile couples. June and David met in 2001 after June won an opportunity to go for tea at the House of Commons.
They split amicably, blaming the break-up to their busy schedules and career. Before their relationship, David married Nicola Green in 2005 and had two sons with her.
