Her father, who was a dashing man standing at a height of 6 feet 3 inches (1.90 meters), was born into an impoverished family and had no money. Her father and his sister used to dance on the streets for money.
Later, Courtney's father moved to North to work at General Motors and also became the first black man to graduate from Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business.
Eventually, her father grew his career, giving every facility to his children, which he did not receive.
