American television journalist Vinita Nair was born as Vinita Chandra Nair on 8 September 1981 in Evanston Illinois. She holds Asian-American ethnicity and belongs to Asian-American ethnicity. Vinita was raised by her parents in Colleyville, Texas.

She started her career as a general assistant reporter in 2000 at WGEM-TV. Afterward, she worked for various stations such as Evanston Cable Channel. PEG Cable TV, WYCC-TV, PBS Station. Moreover, she served as an anchor for KOLN/KGIN-TV and KWGN-TV where she led the evening reports.
Later in December of 2007, she joined ABC News as a correspondent and anchor for ABC News Now. Then Vanita became co-anchor of ABC’s America This Morning and World News Now. After her last broadcast on 18 February 2011, she began working as a newsreader at MSNBC commentary program Martin Bashir.
