Vince initiated his career as an anchor for WOI-TV ABC in 1988 for two years.
Soon after his first job, he joined WPRI Network as an anchor until 1992. Moving forward with his career, he got chances to work for several networks like WPIX-TV, WCBS-TV.
Vince rose to fame after he became a member of CBS News as a weekend anchor. He joined the network from June 1993 and earned an experience near to a decade till August 2002. Moreover, he made a significant contribution for NBC as an Investigator Reporter for five years.
Though he had lines of opportunities as an anchor, Vince could not flourish that well in his career as he was fired time and again from his job. Well, the 54-year old was initially terminated from WICS-TV along with reporter Garrett Brnger because of some conflicts.
In addition to this, he was even fired from NBC10 in Philadelphia as he was said to have an affair with a married co-worker. Also in 2010, he got in a fight with UN driver in the parking spot after, which he was terminated from WPIX-TV.

Though Vince gave no particular reason behind the divorce with his wife, it was said that the cause of their split was Vince's affair with a married colleague, Lori Delgado. According to an article published by Dailymail on 14 November 2008, Vince still stalked his ex-lover, Lori, after the pair broke up after a half-year long relationship.
