Canadian television presenter Susan Hay was born on 15 August 1961 in North Bay, Canada. She grew up in a wealthy family and happily spends her life with sister and parents. 

Susan began her career at MCTV in Sudbury as a weather anchor and host/producer of live half-hour talk forum. In 1989, she joined Global Television and anchored daily regional and national forecasts on Global’s evening and late-night newscasts

While in free time Susan continues to dedicate working with charitable organizations. In 2003, she visited Africa with World Vision to help children orphaned by AIDS. Her work in Africa resulted in one–hour show that earned an American Industry Award for Excellence in TV.

Moreover, she has gained a lot of recognition and won awards such as the Outstanding woman in her field Award In Celebration of Woman in 2000, Rotary Youth Impact Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding contributions towards youth and young in 2009, Consumer Choice Woman of the Year Award in 2004.

Hay was also awarded the Canadian Crime Victim Foundation Award of Honor for making a difference in the lives of others. In 2009, she received the Gemini Humanitarian Award for exceptional contributions towards the community.

Currently, she covered news of the Nikolic family who has overcome the adversity in the past two decades. The family has two autistic children who are non-verbal and developmentally delayed and also suffers from seizures. The whole family takes care of them with all love and support. 

While life their life the family have mortgaged their home three times and has been in disrepair for years. After Susan covered the news about their experience, a lot of social organizations provided social services to the Nikolic family.

The design for the Hope team decided to help them by making the house for them. The organizations selected to demolish the interior to start from scratch to build a new house. The Nikolic family was overwhelmed with the gratitude the hope team provided them.
