The 44-year-old Romilly was born on 15 December 1973 in Paddington, London, England. Her father's name is John Henry Weeks. No information about her family and childhood lifestyle has surfaced out yet.

Before moving into broadcasting, Romilly started her career as an actress. She became a regular newscaster on ITV News Channel only in 2015, where Anne Davies worked as a newsreader.

In ITV, Romilly combined roles as Royal Correspondent and newscaster until 2008, and also became a newscaster for ITV London. 

She also appeared on discussion programs and contributed to documentaries in France, US, and the UK.

The ITN political editor and newsreader Romilly tied the wedding knots with the co-founder of Chifafa, Nick Green. Chifafa is a high-end kebab shop in Farringdon,  which was opened by Nick Green.
