For her education, she studied Arts at York University and later got enrolled at Seneca College. When she passed out from Seneca College, she received her degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Glancing at the personal life of Pooja Handa, it can be said that she is living the best and lavish days of her life with her husband, Paul Pathak.
It all started when Pooja was arriving at a birthday party where Paul, a corporate lawyer, was just leaving. Both encountered each other for the first time in an old-fashioned way, at a bar! Pooja arrived on an elevator with her friend, and when the elevator's door opened, Paul was ready to grab it to exist the venue. Pooja remembers the moment and shared,
" I was with a boisterous friend of mine who yelled out a comment about us being a good match just as the door was closing to the elevator Paul was now in. I yelled out, “That wasn’t embarrassing,” expecting to never see him again."
However, nobody can defy destiny's plan. To Pooja's surprise, she saw Paul again as he returned back to the party in a quest to find her. Not just he found her, he got her number through one of her girlfriends the very next day and secured his first date through a phone call which involved a lot of laughter as well.
In fact, Paul was so sure about the charming Pooja, he blatantly confessed how he felt about her on their very first date. Running down the precious memory lane, she said,
"He said he knew I was the “one” within 15 minutes of our phone conversation."
This fairy-tale-like love story had to have a super romantic grand day. Pual took Pooja to Hammam Spa where he went down on his knees and made her gladly say yes. Briefly dating for 3 months, the couple got engaged to get married. Like a giant Indian wedding, with the presence of 700 people, Pooja and Paul happily wedded in Hindu ritual on May 26, 2013.

As of now, it’s been about eight years of their marriage, but their togetherness is the same as before. Moreover, there are no signs of disputes in their marital life that may lead to divorce. The couple hasn't yet started a family of their own.
