Her Illness & Almost Death Experience
When we thought only personal life would have troubled him, we came across another fact about him, and this has been his illness. He has been suffering from a condition called Multiple Sclerosis. It is a neurological disease, and according to doctors, it is a life-threatening one.
After the recovery of sclerosis, he almost faced the death experience. While he was working at a gym, he suffered a cerebellar hemorrhagic stroke. He was immediately taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

During his 21 days in the hospital, his wife Tara stayed by his side and remained in the hospital for 18 hours a day. After his recovery, he gave all the credit to his wife who never left his side.

Montel was born on 3 July 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland. His father, Herman Williams Jr., was a firefighter and bought up Montel alongside his five siblings.
