John King Career
John King joined the Associated Press in 1985 where he began working as a writer. In 1991, John was appointed as the chief political correspondent, where he headed the AP's political coverage of the presidential elections in the year 1992 and 1996. He won the top reporting prize from the Associated Press Managing Editors' Association in 1991 for his coverage of the Gulf War in Kuwait.
John joined CNN in the year 1997 and began serving as the senior White House correspondent from 1999 to 2005. He was named CNN's chief national correspondent in 2005 which took his career to a great height.

On March 22, 2010, John began hosting his new weeknight show, called John King, USA. He was also the CNN anchor who first confirmed the death of Osama Bin Laden to that network's viewers on May 2 of 2011.
John moderated a Republican Presidential debate on January 19, 2012, before the South Carolina Primary. His show John King, USA was canceled in early 2012, with the final episode airing on June 29, 2012.
