Jeremy Fernandez is a Malaysian-born Australian resident. He is a TV journalist and news presenter. He is a very skillful person and a dedicated and developing performer in his subjected field. He currently works for ABC News 24. His biography is available on Wikipedia.
Born and brought up in Malaysia, Jeremy moved to Australia with his family migrating in at the age of 13. According to the wiki, he can speak Malay as well as English, and that is a plus point. His career took a lift from a very small root, where he first worked as a voice-over artist with Channel 7 and producer for ABC Radio in the regional tourism and agricultural hub of Albany.
Before joining the ABC News 24 bureau in 2009, he had his work furnished in the city of London, where he had worked as a writer and a business producer in the CNN International network. Previously, Jeremy hosted the morning edition of ABC News on Australia Network that broadcasted across Asia-Pacific.
Adding up to his contribution in the field of news reporting and journalism, he has had work experiences in cities like Perth, Melbourne, and London as a journalist and producer. He has interviewed a lot of people and delivered rolling news, breaking news and some in-depth coverage of some impactful incidents and major headlines, like the election in the US in 2008, or the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, a lady leader, and a freedom fighter. He has also provided news reports on the collapse of Lehman Brothers, the fall of Thaksin Shinawatra’s government in Thailand, the Indian Ocean tsunami, and the Bali bombings.
Peeking into his personal life, his educational background and academic achievements include degrees from Curtin University and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He is reported to have a daughter, which puts him in the category of a married man. He has a black skin tone. But there is still no reports or news about the name or any picture of his wife.
Have you not heard rumors of his sexuality being gay? While in high school or university, he had no news of dating anyone, thereby having no girlfriend, and also he is not gay.
We feel very sad to say that man like Jeremy was racially abused on a bus. The racism involved a lady passenger and continued for about 15 long minutes. He was actually taking his little daughter to child care when this incident happened. Jeremy clearly remembers how the woman’s daughter abused his daughter physically.
With the intention to protect his daughter from the lady’s daughter, he put his arms around her. The lady’s baby still continued to clip his arm. The little girl’s mother denied that her daughter had even touched the man and accused him of touching her daughter. She began to hurl about the abuse and went on to talk about racist things.
Jeremy wasn’t afraid that is why he stayed there strong. He didn’t even consider changing his seats.
