Later, she went on to Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. And, graduated at the top of her class with a doctorate in dental surgery in 1998.

Heavenly Kimes is married to Dr. Damon.
She met her husband while they were both attending Meharry Medical College. Later, Damon graduated with a degree in philosophy and Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

All of her children are grown up now and are engaged in different sectors. Her daughter Alaura is working on her music career, whereas their oldest son Damon Jr. is following his parent’s footsteps by pursuing a career in healthcare.
Her Weight Loss Journey
Heavenly ultimately had to go under the knife for a gastric banding surgery in 2007. But that did not help her lose weight. So, she had a broad vision of how badly she wanted to lose her weight to live a healthy and long life.
Henceforth, she worked on her diet. She stuck to a consistent diet of oatmeal, egg whites, tomatoes and onions for breakfast, salad for lunch, and grilled fish or chicken with plenty of vegetables for dinner.

Furthermore, the Atlanta dentist also visited her trainer twice a week, where she does weight lifting four times a week.
By December 2013, Heavenly had decreased her weight to 71.67 kg (158 Pounds). She reportedly lost 34 Kgs (75 Pounds ) throughout two and a half years till 2014.
