We consider ourselves very lucky if we are gifted with any talent but when the case is that one has got multiple talents to showcase, what do we call him? Apart from calling him multi-talented person, we call such person a versatile. And Darren McMullen from Scotland has been able to fall under this category of being a clever man. He almost seems to be a personality who is all in all. This is because he is a television and radio presenter, music journalist and music critic.
He has not been living in just one country that is Scotland. Rather at the age of twelve, his family migrated to Australia from his native place Glasgow of Scotland. And now he resides in Los Angeles, California.
Thirty-five, young, handsome, and successful- that’s McMullen. So, all the ladies out there might be wondering if he is single. But sorry ladies, he’s been taken. He is currently in a relationship with actress Crystal Reed. He met his girlfriend at the bar in Los Angeles in 2014, and since then, they two have been together with each other. Before this, he was once engaged with Rechelle Jenkins, but they broke off their relationship, and after this, he was rumored to be dating Delta Goodrem from 2012 to 2013.
They were both working on the same show The Voice Australia, where Goodrem was a judge, and Darren was a host. They were speculated to be in a relationship after filming for that show. Together, they were seen holding hands and kissing each other at the Lady Gaga’s concert in Sydney. They were also pictured while dining in Sydney and driving, hiking in Los Angeles. Despite these incidents, Darren still denied his romantic affair with Goodrem saying that they were not in a confirmed relationship. So that’s that for his past relationship. The present is the most important thing, and he is happy with his girlfriend now. We hope they will get married soon and through the wedding, his girlfriend will lawfully turn into his wife. And his relationship with girls definitely proves that he is not a gay.
McMullen initiated his career as a host and presenter with Arena’s Exclusive news on Foxtel and also through appearances in the main campaigns for Westfield and Gloria Jean’s. In the year 2007 and 2008, he appeared on his own live music show called The Lair on MTV Australia, where he interviewed musical bands. Then in 2009, he got the show called Commercial Breakdown for hosting. However, in 2010, he signed the contract with the Seven Networks and hosted the new game show Minute to Win It.
He again carried forward his hosting with the reality show named Love in the Wild on NBC in USA and CTV in Canada. Then came the defining moment in his career. It was from the show The Voice Australia that earned him massive fame and popularity. After doing four seasons of this show, he decided to call it the quits. Interestingly, in 2014, he ran Darren Mc Mullen’s Outsiders on National Geographic Channel. IN 2016, he again re-joined Seven Network for airing the new show The Big Music Quiz.
