Famous as an entertainment reporter, Courtney Friel was born on 22 April 1980 to parents, Lois and Bernie Friel, in Philadelphia.
As per her bio, the 39-year old media personality recognized her interest and skills in television since her early age.
While attending Methacton High School in Eagleville, Pennsylvania, she used to make daily television morning announcements giving her best but her media’s production classes. Aiming to become a famous anchor, she completed her bachelor of Arts in Political Science from San Diego State University.
A short video that Courtney made highlighting her skills was chosen to appear on Channel One News student-produced week in Los Angeles.

She was married to the famed CBS reporter Carter Evans. The pair first met in San Diego on the sets of KNSD-TV. Sharing the common interest, Courtney and Carter fell for each other and eventually got married in May 2005.

The pair were blessed with two children namely Cash Hudson Evans on 1 January 2011 and Cameron Kaiulani Evans on 6 April 2012.
Courtney was relishing her family life with her husband Carter and two kids until the pair separated with a divorce in 2016 because of some unknown reasons.
