For his education, Sean attended De La Salle High School, where he played basketball. There, he led his high school to their first ever NorCal championship. After completing his high school, he played for the UCLA Bruins for three years.
Once, Fox Sports West approached him and offered him an unpaid position which was against NCAA rules but allowed Sean to deliver insight on players at UCLA. However, Sean accepted the position and remained to do the profiles until his graduation.

Sean Farnham joined ESPN in 2010 as a college basketball analyst. He calls games across ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU from various conferences, including SEC, Pac-12, and West Coast Conference.
