Jake Hoot is an American singer and reality television personality.
He is best known for his appearance in the American singing competition series, The Voice, broadcasted initially by NBC. He participated in the seventeenth season of the show, which premiered on 23rd September 2019.
He gave his blind audition on the show by performing Luke Combs’ When It Rains Pours and was selected on coach Kelly Clarkson’s team.
Jake performed amazingly throughout the show and ended up becoming the winner of The Voice Season 17 on 18th November 2019.
His winning performance was with one of his country music idols, Little Big Town singing their latest hit single, “Over Drinking.”

He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, as the second of the nine kids born to his parents. His parents were Baptist missionaries.
In the course of his parents’ work, his family relocated to the Dominican Republic, where he spent most of his childhood.

Growing up there, Jake learned to sing, play guitar and speak the Spanish language fluently. He also became a massive fan of classic country and rock.

Having also lived in Haiti and Oklahoma briefly, finally, his family moved to Cookeville, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville when he was 20-years old.
There he was enrolled at the Tennessee Tech University, where he got a chance to play as a walk-on football player due to his astounding height.
However, he didn’t leave his long-time passion for music in his college years. He continued to play regular gigs at local college bars and restaurants.

Jake is a family loving person and enjoys spending time with his family members. Even while competing in The Voice, he showed his love to his daughter by dedicating the song, Danny's Song, to his daughter.
