The birth of the duo group Bars and Melody took place in 2014 after the two young boys Devries and Charlie Lenehan met each other in 2013 through facebook.
Sharing similar interest and passion for music, the duo auditioned for the 8th series of Britain's Got Talent and winded up receiving a golden buzzer for their original song Hopeful.
Later, they got to perform the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The band won the third title in the BGT, and their audition video remains the most viewed audition video of all in BGT.
Further, the boys signed a contract with Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco, and released their hit Hopeful, which even reached the fifth position on UK Singles Chart. Continuing their music, the band has released five studio albums 143, Teen Spirit, Generation Z, Sadboi, and Carpe Diem.
