After being honorably released from the military service, Steve began on law enforcement with the City of Santa Ana.
Over the three decades of serving on patrol, traffic, on horseback, and even by helicopter, he saw to a lot of street narcotics, gang suppression, gang homicide, cold-case homicide, and the career criminal unit investigating Federal crimes.
And for his excellent service, Steve was honored as 'Detective of the Year', and he also received a great many accolades from community organizations and elected officials.
Then in 2003, he got picked for the “25 Hottest People in Orange County” by OCMetro Magazine for his work in cold case homicides. And the list goes on!
And, now that people are curious about the job he does for a living, it is safe to say that he is a retired police officer and politician, who ran for a seat on the Anaheim City Council back in 2012.
Having said all said, it is undoubtedly apparent just why Vicki Gunvalson, flaunting the net worth of $7 million, wanted him to put a dazzling engagement ring on her.
Engaged To Famous Girlfriend!
On the 26th of April 2019, Steve popped the question, and Vicki, of course, complied with a big YES!
The pair began their courtship back in spring 2016. It was during the Boys & Girls Club charity event in Anaheim that they met for the very first time.
And since then, one step at a time, they have done it all- getting approval from each other's family, going on vacations, and even sharing their romance with the world through the reality show.

Now, the big days awaits- the one with their wedding. After a few failed past affairs, both finally confirmed to have found the keeper.
And in the meantime, they seem to be deciding on the kind of wedding they would love the "I do's" to happen.
Family Details
Steve was born to a German father and a Spanish mother. More to the Lodge family is Steve's brother, who, despite being some years younger than him, taught Steve a few things over the years.

And today, he is blessed with a family of his own, four adult children- two sons and two daughters and a bunch of grandbabies from them.

And Vicki, his newfound love is sure included in his family affairs and get together. It looks like everyone is mature enough to handle things well.
