Fleeing from Iran as a child, for Australia, Rita Panahi only knew two English words. Her family was penniless.
But, today, Rita is an Ameican-born Iranian Australian opinion columnist, who works for The Herald and Weekly Times (HWT), and a subsidiary of News Corp Australia.

Rita Panahi’s Bio, Family Life
Rita Panahi was born on 2nd March 1976 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, which makes her 42 years of age.
While gushing about her parents, her mother was a midwife, and her father was an agricultural engineer from Iran.
Rita along with her family returned to Iran during her infancy, living on the coast and moving to Tehran by 1979. During the time, her mother worked for a hospital associated with the Shah during the Iranian Revolution.

Rita's Muslim family got targeted by the repressive Islamic regime; however, in 1984 they were accepted by Australia as refugees. So, they lived in Melbourne without any money or assets.
Rita, who only knew two words of English, went to a local primary school at the age of 8. After studying, she started working in banks while attending Monash University, but she did not complete her Bachelor of Business Finance degree.
Instead, she joined Australian Young Labor and volunteered in the 1996 election campaign. There she served as a personal banker at Colonial Mutual and was the youngest branch manager in the company's history.
Rita's Career
Initially, Rita wrote for the daily newspaper mX. However, in 2007, she became the regular guest on the AM sports radio station SEN.
From September 2007, Rita started working for the Herald Sun, published by the Herald and Weekly Times (HWT).
In addition to that, Rita is also a regular guest on Sky News and Sunrise on the Seven Network. She is also a radio commentator on 3AW and 2GB.

In 2017, Rita was encouraged by Michael Kroger to stand for Liberal Party pre-selection in the Victorian state electorate of Frankston. She started hosting The Friday Show on Sky News Live in 2018.
Rita's career in journalism gets her to the places where she has to deal with the number of controversies.
One of those has been her slamming of the Australian basketballer Ben Simmons during June 2019.
Rita publically hit out at Ben for his false claims against racism. Ben had said that he was not allowed to enter inside Melbourne's Crown Casino due to racial profiling.

However, the real reason for his entry denial was his wearing of camouflage pants that were not allowed in the casino.

Rita Panahi’s personal life is beyond the reach of anyone as she has guarded her personal aspect and relationships under the radar.
Despite being the famous columnist, her fans are still deprived of being acknowledged about her private matter as she does not prefer to discuss them in public.
Even no news of her getting married and having a partner in her life has ever surfaced out in the media.
The only thing known about her personal life is that Rita, at the age of 31, left her banking job to become a mother. Her decision to become a single parent was her deliberate choice.
Rita never leaves the opportunity to post about her 12-year-old son, Hunter Panahi, in her social media pages.
Her son has grown up to become a handsome young child, who follows the professional footsteps of his mother.
