Nikki Fried is an American lawyer currently holding the position of the 12th Florida Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
She held the office on 8th January 2019 after she won over the Republican Matt Caldwell with 6,753 votes.
With the winning, she became the first Democrat to hold the position since 2001 and the first woman elected to the position.

Nikki Fried was born on 13th December 1977 in suburban Miami with the birth name Heather Nicole Fried.
She grew in her home state with her parents and a younger sister.
Her father, Ronald, is an attorney and works at his law firm in South Florida.
When she was only 13, her parents got divorced. At the time of divorce, her mother, Lori, was a stay-at-home mom raising her children. That situation in her family back then made Nikki realize to be independent.
Later, when her mother became the primary caretaker of her children, she began teaching at a preschool.

Nikki was interested in politics and leadership from a young age. At the age of 9, when she was asked what she wanted to do on her 10th birthday, she said that she wanted to see White House.
While in middle school, she was also elected as a vice mayor.
She continued her political and social service passion by joining the University of Florida in 1995. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science in 1999.
He also did a Master's degree in Political Campaigning until 2003 in the same university. She continued her further education by studying Doctor of Law (JD) at the University of Florida’s Fredric G. College of Law.

Nikki Fried is not married as of November 2019. However, she is in a romantic relationship with her boyfriend, Jake Bergmann.

Her boyfriend, Jake, is the founder and CEO of a multistate, vertically integrated cannabis distributor, Surterra Wellness.
Jake is also the founder and CEO of Iconoclast Ventures, a venture management firm.
Though the couple has not disclosed anything about their future plans, they have reportedly bought a $700,000 luxury home in northeast Tallahassee and have joint ownership of the property since February 2019.
