Best known as an active radio personality, Garry Meier involved himself in the media for 45 years.
In 1973, he started his career at the age of 23 as a DJ for WFYR. After working there for a year, Garry served networks like WYEN, WLUP as an overnight DJ. While working at WLUP, Garry met morning DJ, Steve Dahl and decided to start a radio program with him.
Eventually, the show was started with the name The Steve & Garry Show. The show became a stepping stone for the radio duo as it got top ratings at WLUP. With the success of the show, Garry and Steve conducted an event Disco Demolition Night. The primary motive of the event was to end disco once and for all.

However, after a whole lot of fame and success, the show came to an end after some years. Then, Garry started hosting his show in WLUP for a year and began working as a reporter. But he left the network in 1995 and again started a show with Roe Cann named as The Roe & Garry Show. Just like before, the show received love and popularity and ran for eight long years.

After amassing experience from other networks like WCKG, WGN, Garry began an online podcast show in 2015. He, now, makes an average salary of 44K dollars.

Garry is a happily married man. He is married to Cynthia Fircak, a commercial real-estate broker. After knowing each other for some time, Garry and Cynthia exchanged wedding vows as husband and wife in 1993. Garry was born on 2 December 1949 in the United States in an Army family. He grew up in Oak Forest and later graduated from Tinley Park High School in 1968. During his early days, Garry went to pharmacy school with the aim of being a pharmacist but sadly he could not receive a degree in the field.
