Francesca Hayward is a Kenyan-British ballet dancer plus actress, who is well-recognized as the Principal ballerina of Britain's largest ballet company, The Royal Ballet. She became Principal ballerina in 2016. For The Royal Ballet company, she has performed some major roles in plays like Romeo and Juliet (as Juliet), The Nutcracker (as Clara and The Sugar Plum Fairy), and Sleeping Beauty (as Aurora).
Her success as a ballerina provided her the platform to work in the entertainment industry also. In 2019, she played the lead role of Victoria in the movie, Cats, alongside some other renowned artists like Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, and Taylor Swift.

Francesca Hayward is the daughter of a British father, Lewis Hayward, and a Kenyan mother. Her father is a headmaster at the University College School Junior Branch, Hampstead.
Following her birth, she only spent some time in Kenya as her family moved back to England.

Sadly, her parents divorced when she was just two years old. After that, she started to live in West Sussex, with her parental grandparents, Diana and John Hayward.
