Camille Schrier has been crowned Miss America 2020 on 19th December 2020. She crowned the title at the annual event held live at the Mohegan Sun Earth Expo & Convention Center in Uncasville, Connecticut.
As a winning part, she demonstrated the show’s first-ever science demonstration in the talent competition. She showed the catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and earned high praise from the judges and audiences.

But to earn the title was not an easy task for her, she went through a tough competition beating all 50 contestants from every state plus the District of Columbia.
Camille has announced that her goal as Miss America is to promote drug safety and abuse prevention while also advocating STEM education.
She will also spend a year advocating for Mind Your Meds: Drug Safety and Abuse Prevention from Pediatrics to Geriatrics.
Along with the title, she also collected her earnings of more than $300,000 scholarships and a year of representing the Miss America Organization.
As seen on previous winners, she will also receive a salary and expenses during her reign.
Camille was representing Virginia as she was crowned Miss Virginia 2019. She was crowned the state title in an event held at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She had also won $21000 as a prize.

She was born in Newtown, Virginia, to father, Tom Schrier, and mother, Cheryl Schrier.

Since her mother is a retired pageant competitor, it helped her a lot to come into the pageant field. She adores her parents for being supportive, especially her mother, who taught her to be an advocate, to be strong, brave, and present herself uniquely with grace.
With her mother’s support, Camille began her pageantry career when she was 14-years old.
Additionally, she was an athletic kid, and her love for science began when she was in eighth grade. All these characters led her to succeed in her career.
When Camille was 18, she left to participate in competitions since she didn’t like giving too much emphasis on outward appearance. But when the swimsuit competition and criteria for physical appearance were removed, she came again in the career.

As of her education, she has graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with dual degrees in Biochemistry and Systems Biology and minored in Chemistry.
Currently, Camille is studying Doctor of Pharmacy at Virginia Commonwealth University.
