Rhona Mitra is a British actress and model. She is popular for featuring as a live-action model for the lead character Lara Croft in the video game series, Tomb Raider, in 1997 and 1998 and for portraying Holly Marie Beggins in the TV series, Party of Five.

When Mitra was eight-year-old, her parents got divorced in 1984, and she was sent to a boarding school named Roedean, an all-girls school in Brighton, East Sussex. However, she was soon expelled from the school for taking a sixth-former car and driving it down to the local boy's school. Then she went to St. Mary's in Shaftesbury, but she was expelled from there too since all the parents of her friends complained about her as a troublemaker.
However, Rhona had already decided to become an actress at the age of nine when she met an English actress, Judi Dench, a mother to one of her classmates. So she went to London when she was 15 and actively got involved in the club culture of London. There she also began to take drugs, but after three years, she decided to make her dream come true, leaving all the hurdles.
So intending to get fully involved in acting, she enrolled in a three-year drama course. Within a year, she boosted her confidence enough to start her career and began to look for work.
