Florencia Lozano is an American actress who achieved fame for playing Tea Delgado on the daytime series One Life to Live. She was born on December 16, 1969, in Princeton, New Jersey, U.S. Her father Eduardo is an architect, and her mother Elizabeth is a Spanish teacher from Argentina. She has also starred in films and different primetime shows in television.
Lozano grew up in Newton Centre, Massachusetts. She graduated from Brown University in Bachelor of Arts.And Then she moved to New York and completed her degree in Master of Fine Arts at New York University`s Graduate Acting Program which is at the Tisch School of Arts. Her regional theater credits include Hamlet, Yerma, Caucasian Chalk Circle and Antigone.
In December 1996, Lozano landed the role of attorney Tea Delgado on the drama One life to live. It was first aired on January 27, 1997. The character became largely famous and became one of soap opera`s most popular creations. It earned Lozano a loyal following. Lozano also played in a play called Lick which came in June 1999 and lasted until August to September 2000. After Lozano had left daytime, she moved on to prime-time television and film. She worked in Lipstick Jungle, Gossip Girls and Law and Order series. She got nominated for Outstanding Actress in the Alma Awards three times for her role in One Life to Live.
Lozano still does more theater and is also seeking her career in television. Upon asked whether she would ever come back and act on her role of Téa on One Life to Live, she said that "I will never close any door, especially not a door that has been so wonderful for me to walk through."
Lozano returned in 2008 to One Life to Live where she reprised her role as Téa and would play she played the character until the finale of the show which was in January 2012. In March of 2012, Soap Opera Digest had reported that Lozano would bring her One Life to Live character to General Hospital for the week of May 7, 2012.
Recently in 2016, she was cast by Netflix in the Crime Drama series called `Narcos` for the second season.
She was in a relationship with Christopher Welch and started dating her in 1997. After that there is no news of her having any boyfriend or if she is married and has a husband.
