Mann took the role of actor Cheryl Stark in the soap opera daily called Neighbors from late 1995, for eight weeks when actor Caroline Gillmer became sick. Mann again joined the cast of Neighbors as the regular character in February 2012 as bartender Shiela Canning. 

Mann has also appeared as a presenter on many popular TV shows such as The Circle, Good Morning Australia, The Don Lane Show, What’s Cooking and Hey Hey It’s Saturday. Also on the talkback radio show called MTR1377 Mann worked as a fill-in presenter for Glenn Ridge who is an Australian television and radio presenter.

 Mann was also the part of a three-woman troupe called The Mini Busettes in the 1980s with fellow actresses Betty Bobbitt and Jane Clifton. The group performed the act for three seasons at many Sydney League's Clubs and also at the Melbourne's Le Joke comedy venue. Mann has also appeared on stage as Shirley who is the battleax owner of Broken Hill pub, in the Australian comedy-drama movie named Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical in the year 2010.

She has been a regular feature writer for the magazine New Idea. There she has written about her life and her sons. Mann has also written two books. Her books are It's A Mann's World (1990) and Give Me A Break (2002).
