American actress Allison McAtee, who has popularly known for her role as Maggie Day in the primetime daily soap called The haves and the have-nots. She was born on September 24, 1984, in Erie, Pensylvania, U.S. She grew up in Edinboro. Her father Edward McAtee was a teacher and the Director of Special Education programs in Pennsylvania and her mother, Sandra Leichtenberger was an ER/Cardiac Care Charge Nurse. Allison`s parents got divorced when Allison was just three years of age.

The actress went to the General McLane High School and completed her high school education. After that, she went to study in Suzuki and Viewpoints at Carnegie Mellon University. Allison also has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Pittsburgh. After getting her degree, she moved to New York and started her career as a model and starred in several Broadway shows.

Allison began her acting career by appearing in stage productions. In the year 2005, she made her television debut on ABC daytime soap opera named `One life to Live`. She later got a guest-appearance role on Law and order: Criminal Intent, Revenge, Californication, Ugly Betty, Castle, NCIS, CSI and its spin-offs CSI: Miami and CSI-NY. She has also appeared in movies like Hell Ride (2008), The Killing Floor (2007) and the leading role in independent drama Bloomington in 2010. 

 In the year 2014, McAtee joined the cast of the Oprah Winfrey Network`s primetime soap opera called The Have and the Have Nots. There Allison plays the role of a lady named Maggie Day, who is a campaign manager to Jim Cryer played by John Schneider and David Harrington played by Peter Parros. Allison was promoted to regular cast member for the third season of the series.

In 2008 Allison starred in a movie named Hell Ride opposite to Michael Madsen and Dennis Hopper which was directed by Quentin Tarantino. On the same year, he also got a chance to share the screen with Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow in Jon Favreau's movie 'Iron Man.' In 2010, the indie 'Bloomington' which was about lesbians, quickly became a popular flick and it got Allison greater recognition around the world. After that she played a recurring role starring and opposite to the actors David Duchovny on Showtime's: 'Californication'; proceeded by a series regular role opposite to actors Tika Sumpter and John Schneider on Tyler Perry's: 'The Haves and the Have Nots' on OWN.

According to reports and news Allison is possibly single and is not in relationship or dating anyone. She does not have a husband or a spouse as she is not married.
