He was reported to be a union carpenter in 2013 and to have lived in the Washington area for two years recently as a top carpenter. It was said that he built the popular Clyde`s restaurant near the Verizon Center downtown.

In the year 2012, Tickle announced his intention to run for Congress and he used an opportunity for it in the form of an interview in October 2013 with “Washington Secrets,” to call Obamacare “crap.” This came out from him in addition to his self-proclaimed Presidential candidacy.

Steven Tickle was reported to be considering running against US Representative Robert Hurt in Virginia`s 5th Congressional district as an independent in the year 2013. In addition to his self-proclaimed candidacy for president in 2012, Tickle also announced his intention to run for Congress. He called Obamacare crap and said that he believes in having a system in which Americans have access to healthcare.

Tickle was a participant and star of Discovery Channel’s highest rated series called Moonshiners. Moonshiners is an American television series; more like a docudrama aired on the Discovery Channel that dramatizes the life of people who produce (illegal) moonshine in Tennessee, Virginia and the Appalachian Mountains of North and South Carolina, The series dramatizes their life, liquor production efforts and law-evading techniques. He was rewarded a $1 million salary package for appearing in Moonshiners season 3.

Tickle’s new site for moonshine is deep in the Appalachian mountains. He knows it's illegal, and he can never stay too far from the Law. So, for the records, he installed camouflage security cameras that blend in with the environment.

In March of 2013 Tickle was arrested for public intoxication.

Tickle was again arrested in 2015 for the possession of a sawed-off shotgun. He was convicted on Feb 1 of 2016. Tickle was handed a three-year suspended penitentiary sentence on March 24, 2016.  His criminal behavior was once again found when he again got arrested for a probation violation.
