Samara Theodore is an American meteorologist currently working with NBC4 as a weekend meteorologist.

She joined NBC’s StormTeam 4 in 2016, and since then, she has been forecasting weather during the weekend editions on News4, NBCWashington.com, and 103.5 WTOP Radio.

Before NBC, she has also worked with WEWS NewsChannel 5’s Good Morning Cleveland where she has even been awarded an Emmy for her morning weathercast of a deadly plane crash in Akron.

Though the official details of her parents are yet to be revealed, she has shared some information about her family members. 

On an Instagram post dated 12th November 2019, she shared a picture of her father, Dr. T, wishing him a Happy Veterans Day. Similarly, she can be seen praising her grandparents on some of her Instagram posts with lovely captions.

On 27th March 2015’s Instagram post, she even shared a photo of her grandmother, Norva, who worked as a nurse and praised her struggle to bring her family up with many difficulties. 

Somara grew up in different cities like Los Angeles, Atlanta, Honolulu, New York, and Pottstown, which have different kinds of seasons. This developed her passion for weather from a young age.

With the aim to become a weather specialist, she attended Penn State University in 2008 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree with a major in Meteorology and minors in Energy Business, Finance, and Mandarin Chinese. 

While studying in the college, she conducted research with NASA, NOAA, and also participated in a field study in China.

She also earned a lot of experience by interning with WUSA CBS 9 in Washington, D.C., WGCL CBS Atlanta, and The Weather Channel.

Somara Theodor is an American by nationality though her family is originally from Trinidad. 

Regarding her weight, she has not revealed any information about it though one can see her on TV with an average weight.

Somara Theodore is happily married to Carl C. Scott. She tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Carl C. Scott, in August 2019.
