Mark moved on with the divorce as on 20 August 2016; he tied the wedding knots for the second time with children’s book author, Julie Freyermuth.
Mark met Julie for the first time in August 2015. Julie has attended as a guest on Mark’s Hallmark TV show, Home, and Family. After meeting for the first time, the pair fell in love with each other and started dating.
After a year, the pair married via an intimate ceremony held in Mark's home in Los Angeles.

The anchor became a father for the third time on 28 July 2017 when Julia delivered a beautiful daughter named, Parker Rose Steines.
However, Rose was born prematurely and had breathing problems soon after birth. As a result, Parker had to spend two weeks in the NICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. As of now, she is healthy and is relishing her time with her father and mother.
