With great enthusiasm and passion, Marc headed to pursue his career in the journalism field by working as a morning news anchor at KVII-TV in Amarillo. He joined ABC7 in June 2014 as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor alongside Kristen Sze.

Before joining ABC7, he worked at KION-TV, the CBS affiliate in Salinas, California in 2010. There, he served in many roles, including evening news anchor. His work at KION-TV led the station to be honored with three consecutive regional Emmy awards. The awards were given for Best Newscast in Northern California. Then, Marc began anchoring additional newscasts for KION’s sister stations, KCOY 12 and KKFX FOX 11 in Santa Maria, California.

Family - Wife, Married

Marc has been married to his wife Jasmine Viel for seven years. His wife, Jasmine is a reporter and anchor at CBS 2/KCAL. She graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor degree in Journalism.

Embracing the same profession as a reporter, Marc met his wife at the set of CBS/FOX in Salinas, California while anchoring the evening newscasts. It wasn't long before the two developed mutual feeling of attraction for each other.

They started dating shortly after the meeting. And in April 2011, Marc and Jasmine tied their wedding knot. His wife was working at KION but left the network after getting married to live with him in Los Angeles. After that, Jasmine started working at KCBS in California. 

The two were enjoying their married life with their adorable Pitbull, Hayley. That was only until November 2018 as they welcomed their son to the family.

Marc and his wife embraced the role of parents of their son, Camden James on 9 November 2018. Marc has not missed a single opportunity to take his son to short adventures. He often flaunts his son on his Instagram.

Both, Marc and his wife know how to balance their career and family without lacking.

Before working at broadcast news industry, he drove open-wheel race cars, competing in the Star Mazda National Championship. He has been attending the Indianapolis 500 annually since 1993.
