Moving on, Laura experienced a big loss when she had to wave goodbye to her father forever. Well, her father died at the age of 40 due to a cardiac attack in the year 1993.

On the other side, Laura's mother Valerie who was Barack Obama's senior adviser was linked to Ahmad Rashad, a TV News host, NBA Acess anchor in 2014. 

The rumor of them dating spread around when Ahmad was seen playing golf with President Obama on a recent family vacation.

Though Valerie didn't join them, it is said that the closeness of Ahmad to Valerie was why he was invited to play golf with the former president.

The couple hasn't been spotted since then so maybe either they broke up or weren't in any kind of relationship at all.
